initial situation
Due to the separation of Alcon from Novartis, the company needed to create its own IT infrastructure. One of the most critical systems for business, the replacement of which was required in the first place, was the document management system. The system had to meet a number of requirements:
- Flexibility and opportunity for future expansion.
- User friendly and intuitive interface.
- Customization mechanisms for flexible business processes with many conditions and branches.
- Ability to generate more than 100 documents by templates.
- Ability to automate the maximum number of business processes to avoid the need to work in different systems and interfaces.

- Complete replacement of the existing workflow system and migration of all historical data to the new system.
